The ideal candidate combines strong technology project management and project leadership experience with a solid understanding of Quality Assurance (QA), testing methodologies, process review, defect management, and system implementation practices.

This is not a hands-on Software Quality Engineering or test automation development role. The position focuses on project leadership, governance, coordination, process improvement, testing oversight, and successful technology delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Technology, Engineering, QA, Product, Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders.
  • Provide project leadership and ensure alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, testing readiness sessions, risk reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and potential delivery challenges.
  • Establish clear project governance, ownership, accountability, and escalation processes.
  • Review existing business and technology processes to identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements and ensure appropriate alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee testing activities, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation validation.
  • Partner with QA and technical teams to ensure appropriate test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria are established.
  • Monitor testing progress, defects, remediation activities, and testing readiness to support successful releases.
  • Facilitate defect prioritization and resolution discussions and ensure critical issues are appropriately escalated and addressed.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities following implementation or production issues.
  • Ensure appropriate project, process, testing, and implementation documentation is maintained.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Promote consistent project management, testing, process improvement, and technology delivery best practices across initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Technology Project Management, IT Project Management, Technology Delivery, Program Management, Business Systems, or a related technology function.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects and cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and the technology/software development lifecycle.
  • Experience managing project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Assurance (QA), software testing methodologies, testing processes, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience coordinating or overseeing functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience facilitating defect management, issue resolution, testing readiness, and implementation activities.
  • Experience reviewing business and technology processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, system integrations, APIs, and technology dependencies.
  • Experience working with Workday applications and integrations.
  • Experience supporting technology initiatives related to finance business processes, including Invoice-to-Cash (I2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R)
